About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Consultant / Presales Engineer to act as the technical authority throughout the sales cycle for our Cybersecurity solutions. You will partner closely with Account Executives to understand prospective customers’ security challenges, architect tailored solutions, run compelling demonstrations and proofs of concept (POCs), and serve as a trusted technical advisor from first discovery call through to closed deal and handoff to delivery. This role suits a seasoned security professional who is equally comfortable in front of a CISO, deep in a technical architecture discussion, or whiteboarding a threat model with a customer team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team during the pre-sales cycle, owning the technical relationship with prospects and customers.
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand a prospect’s security architecture, risk posture, compliance requirements, and existing tool stack.
  • Design and present tailored technical solutions, architecture diagrams, and security workflows that map product capabilities to customer requirements. Deliver compelling product demonstrations, both standard and customized, to technical and executive audiences (SOC analysts, security architects, CISOs, IT leadership).
  • Plan, scope, and run proof of concept (POC) and proof of value (POV) engagements, defining success criteria and ensuring technical validation leads to a successful outcome.
  • Respond to RFP technical sections, security questionnaires, and architecture review requests with accurate, well-positioned answers.
  • Partner with Account Executives to build and execute account strategies, identify technical risks to a deal, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support competitive positioning by maintaining deep knowledge of competitor offerings, differentiators, and objection-handling strategies.
  • Build and maintain reusable presales assets: demo environments, POC playbooks, reference architectures, battle cards, and technical FAQs.
  • Mentor junior sales engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the presales function’s tools, process, and methodology.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and customer roundtables as a technical subject matter expert when needed.
  • Ensure a smooth technical handoff to Professional Services / Customer Success postsale, including documentation of the agreed solution design.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Proven experience of 6–10 years in a cybersecurity presales engineer, sales engineer, solutions consultant, or solutions architect role, ideally at a security vendor, MSSP, or systems integrator.

Technical Skills:
➢ Strong working knowledge across core security domains, e.g., network security, endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR), identity and access management (IAM), cloud security (CSPM/CNAPP/SIEM/SOAR, threat intelligence, or application security (select per product focus).
➢ Demonstrated experience designing and delivering technical product demonstrations and running structured POC/POV engagements with measurable success criteria.
➢ Experience responding to security questionnaires, RFPs, and vendor risk assessments.
➢ Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and storytelling skills, with the ability to flex communication style between technical practitioners and C-level executives. ➢ Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent deals and competing priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.
➢ Strong consultative and discovery skills; comfortable challenging customer assumptions and proposing creative solutions to complex security problems.
